Bishop Mark A. Williams
was born in Port Chester, New York and was raised in a small town of Fountain Inn, South Caroline and currently serves as Founder and Senior Pastor of New Life Deliverance Temple Church. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. (Johnny & Betty) Williams. Bishop Williams married his childhood sweetheart, Apostle Brenda Williams, formerly Davenport, and they have two children.
As a young boy he enjoyed what he calls, "Good Ole Country Living." He fondly remember his formative years heavily influenced with his grandfather and grandmother's teachings. Upon graduation from high school, he joined the United States Air Force.
Military duty took the Bishops and family all over the world. It was while stationed at Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico, he received the call to minister, as did his wife, Brenda. They matured spiritually under the leadership and tutelage of Protestant Chaplain & Mrs. Levi Braswell. Bishop & Apostle Brenda assumed the pastorship of the Cannon Air Force Base Gospel Service upon the transfer of the Braswells'.
The Williams were subsequently reassigned to Royal Air Force Lakenheath, United Kingdom. There they assumed the role as Pastors of the Gospel Service for the military installation. Their final military move brought the Williams to Hurlburt Field Air Force Base, Florida, where the Bishops retired after 21 years of honorable, faithful and dedicated service.
God and the Williams opened the doors to New Life Deliverance Temple Church in 1995. What started with 28 members in a storefront known to them as the "Hot Box", outgrew four worship buildings to include the first sanctuary built on five acres of land in Navarre that God gave the church. In 2002, he received his ordination as Bishop. Through Bishop and Apostle Williams' ministry, several other churches have been birth out of their ministry. He provides spiritual oversight/covering for other established churches as well. Bishop Williams has wisdom beyond his years.
He is an advocate for health and the well being of children. He is dedicated to the work of God and devoted to his family. One of the most intriguing things about Bishop's ministry is his ability to use his childhood memories of life in the country to add humor while preaching and teaching the word of God, the five-fold ministry gifts, lives are changed, people are healed, delivered, set-free, encouraged and uplifted. Bishop Williams exemplified the motto of this church "The doors of our church swing on the hinges of love"
